• specify a location for the camera placement to get the best vantage point and effective supervision, you can installl the camera on a pole or a high wall, complete your outdoor camera with with brackets and protectors to prevent vandalism;

• select the camera all weather resistant, waterproof and dustproof;

• If you use the camera cable, provide cable path so that the cable wires are not visible, use a cable fastener, minimize tacking the wall, Match with your aesthetic;

• Consider the ease of operation and maintenance i.e. when you replace the battery if the camera is wireless, or cleaning the camera lens;

• if you use a wireless camera, place the camera and the receiver within the specified distance range in order to qualify the camera work, check the instruction manual;

• Use night vision cameras, to get the operational effectiveness of security controls during the 24/7 a week;

• Take care of plants and trees particularly around the camera on a regular basis so that its growth does not block the view of the camera;

• Place the house lights not to dazzle and reflect light into the camera lens so that degrade the function of supervision.

  2. Location is the most important factor in installing outdoor cameras. You need to have it placed in a location that would be able to spot burglars attempting to enter your home, but it has to be concealed in such a way that the camera won’t be noticeable to intruders. It should be properly set up to have a clear view of the entire place.

  3. I agree. An outdoor camera should be attached to a pole, placed high enough to prevent thieves from reaching it easily and breaking it. The camera should also be dust and water proof. Additionally, placing the camera outside, where it can easily be seen would deter criminals from breaking in.
